Every home is different, but homeowners often run into many of the same HVAC and plumbing questions. Here are answers to several common concerns in Brownsburg.
Regular professional maintenance helps keep your AC and furnace in good working condition. While maintenance may be scheduled before peak heating or cooling season, it can also be completed during or toward the end of the season. The important thing is keeping up with routine maintenance to support equipment performance and warranty requirements. Service completed later in the season also puts your system ahead for the next one.
Inconsistent hot water, unusual noises, rusty or discolored water, visible leaks, and declining hot water capacity can indicate a developing problem. An inspection can help determine whether repair or replacement is appropriate.
When multiple fixtures drain slowly at the same time, the problem may extend beyond an individual sink or tub. Professional drain inspection can help determine where the restriction is located and what is causing it.
Yes. Heat pumps transfer heat rather than generating it in the same way as traditional combustion heating equipment, allowing a single system to provide both heating and cooling.
Age, repair frequency, comfort problems, system condition, and operating efficiency can all influence the decision. If an older system requires frequent repairs or struggles to maintain comfortable temperatures, comparing replacement options may be worthwhile.

Upon arrival, I was greeted by Teurayi. She had turned the system off. She said that it hasn’t been running very well since we performed the maintenance on the 11th. I turned the system back on and checked operation. The indoor blower came on as well as the outdoor fan and compressor. I started to put my refrigerant gauges on and noticed oil around the liquid line schrader valve service port. I put my gauges on and checked the refrigerant level and found that the system is low on refrigerant. I did a check on the valve core with soap bubbles but did not see a leak. I also checked inside the unit on the first joint for any bubbles but didn’t see any there either, however the system pressure without the unit running is only at 68 psi and may not be enough to produce bubbles. It appears that the valve core has failed on the liquid line service port but we would have to get the pressure back up to verify that the joint is not leaking. Unfortunately, the system is old and uses R-22 ref
